The Resident Services Mail Room receives packages from the U.S. Postal Service, FedEx, OnTrac, UPS and other carriers on a daily basis. Once the package arrives, it must be identified and processed to its intended recipient. Once processed, the system we use will automatically send the resident an email notification stating that the package is ready for pick up at the Towers Front Desk. This does not guarantee, however, your mail will be ready for pick up the day it is delivered, which is why we highly encourage residents to avoid paying for express or overnight shipping. Paying for express shipping will not guarantee same day package availability at the front desk.
Due to a high influx of packages during peak periods, package processing may take up to 5 days.
The beginning of each semester and around holidays are considered “peak periods”. Please allow adequate time for Resident Services to accurately process your packages. We continually strive to decrease package processing time to assure your packages arrive to you when you need them. We would like to thank you for your patience and cooperation during our peak processing windows.
All package mail will be picked-up at the Towers at Centennial Square Mail Room located at 796 Font Blvd. You are required to present your SF State ID to pick up your package.
If a package has not been received past our current processing window, the Towers Front Desk staff will be able to assist you in activating the package investigation process to locate your mail. Residents are required to provide tracking information with confirmed delivery, for the package investigation process to begin.
We only have the capacity to hold packages for 15 days after processing. After day 15, an email notification will be sent as a final reminder to pick up your item. If the package is still not picked up after the final reminder, mail staff will move the package to be returned to sender (RTS). We will automatically stamp packages that are not addressed to a current resident or belong to a non-resident as Return to Sender.
The Resident Services Mail Room receives letter mail from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). Each resident is provided with a mail box location and a mail box key to access their letter mail. You should address letter mail in the same manner that you address packages.
USPS delivers letter mail directly to the mailboxes in the following residences in the CORE Community:
Village at Centennial Square mailboxes (750 Font Blvd)
Towers at Centennial Square (796 Font Blvd)
USPS delivers letter mail for Towers, TJs, and the Marys communities directly to the Towers Mail Room. Mail staff processes, sorts, and delivers letter mail to the respective boxes in the Marys, Towers and TJs.
