Originally from Dalhousie, New Brunswick, Maggee Leavey is a Kjipuktuk/Halifax-based 2026 Screen Arts graduate with a focus in the art department. She has served as the head of the art department on numerous productions during her time in Screen Arts. She has worked in all facets of the art department, from designing and building sets and props to teaching herself scenic paint techniques, all while improving her makeup and artistry skills. 

Maggees love for the art department was solidified through her two years of Screen Arts as well as working on a production as an IATSE 849 refferall in the props department and being an art department trainee for the FILM 5 "SHIRT!" 

Her passion is her driving force behind her determination, she finds no greater joy than being part of the process of bringing the vision of others to life. She looks forward to working as both an IATSE 849 referral in the props and scenic departments, and as an art department set PA permittee for the DGC. She hopes to continue working on independent productions, volunteering, being involved in the local community and film industry as well as accepting any opportunity that comes her way to learn and grow as a strong individual and crew member.
