Sound operator and assistant art departmemt for an on location shoot for my first time doing sound outdoors.
Directing was my dream coming into this program and for a long time beforehand. I came in wanting to be a script writer and director before I found the art deparment and sound. I still have a passion for writing, but I never had the chance to direct in the program until I was fortunate enough to be picked for our music video productions of 2026. Myself and my fantastic producer, Thomas Stewart, were chosen by our classmates as one of three music video productions going forward. I had almost believed I would never direct in the program and was beginning to accept it, but finally I got this amazing chance to do what i've wanted to do for so long, it felt like a dream come true. I got to direct a music video for an artist I was a big fan of beforhand, Eliza Rhinelander. Her song Know Better has been a favourite of mine for a while and seeing her not only play it live but act though the story of La princess de Clèves that I based the music video on for the reason her song is about the story was out of this world. I am so grateful to my cast of talented individuals, Audrey our princess for helping choreograph, our background dancers, and of course our amazing crew of second years and first year mentees, my first year mentee, Anna Sanderson, who I got along with so well and was the best director mentee I could ever ask for. Lastly Eliza for allowing me to do this for her and myself and use her phenomenal song and have her in the video. Everyone did such an amazing job despite the hiccups on the day of and beforehand. This was such an amazing experience, I truly felt on the day of that I stepped into the role of director and that I truly embraced the role and found my voice. I would love to direct again and bring more of my scripts to life!

Work Safe NB Focus on Safety Video Competition First Place Winner
In 2024 I entered the Work Safe NB focus on safety video competion with classmates Büke Alagoz, Lexington Alexander, and Jackson Benard on behaf of our school, Sugarloaf Senior High School, in Campbellton NB. We were all in a digital productions class taught by the worlds best teacher, Mr.Ottole. He knew I was passionate about directing and making films and pushed me to do this as well as others. We had a short deadline and I wrote, directed, and edited this film in a few days. I spent my whole easter weekend editing on a horrible software. We got it in for the deadline and a few months later we heard the amazing news, we won FIRST PLACE! We ran and told my teacher and it was such a wonderful moment. That feeling was the feeling that pushed me to go to film school and I am so glad I did because I would not be where I am today or heading in the direction I am without this. I am so proud of my work on that video as being the first thing I really made of any substance. The video is a little silly and I have certainly improved since then but I hold it close to my heart as it was where everything really started.
