The Teaching Observation, required for Level 2 Certification, ensures that you are competent in delivering environmental education materials to students.
Decide which lessons you will deliver. Review them and be sure you understand the flow. You don't need to memorize everything, and you can have the lesson with you as you teach.
Speak with the supervisor or colleague who will be observing you. Go over the Observation Form with them and make sure they understand what they are supposed to do. They should rate you in the categories listed on a scale of 1-5. If they score a 1 or a 5, a comment is required.
Once your observations are complete, go over them with the person who observed you and write a reflection about your experience. What could have been improved? What would you do differently next time? What went well?
