Professional Development Plan Template

An individual professional development plan is required for both Level 1 and Level 2 certification. Please use the template linked above to complete your plan. For Level 2 certification, MAEOE recognizes that five-year advanced planning is difficult and that professional circumstances may change. To accommodate this need for flexibility you may submit an amended PDP anytime during your five year period of certification as long as the amendments fall within the guidelines.  

Recertification:

To maintain your certification beyond the initial period of 3 years for Level 1 and 5 years for Level 2,  you will need to:

a) Respond to your original PDP and discuss how you have completed or amended activities, including documentation and reflection for each of the 5 activities. 

b) Submit another completed PDP with five of the suggested activities.

For Level 1 Certification, the fee for re-certification is $25 for members and $75 for non-members. Your certification is good for three years.

For Level 2 Certification, the fee for re-certification is $50 for members and $100 for non-members. Your certification is good for five years.
