You will turn in all doctors notes to Mrs. Luara at the front desk in the office. You will not bring them to me!!
Any class excual that is NOT a docotors note needs to be emailed to me personally from the PARENT not the student.
This includes vactions, funerals, just need a day, family emergeny and or event, and more...

Yes! When a student is absent, all work and handouts will go in their folder in the classroom. They will pick up all missed work from their folder on the day they return to school.

Yes, each student will have acess to ipads during class but they must not leave the classroom.
Every student will have an issused chromebook through the school district in whch he/she is responiable fro mainting and charging for class.
Report cards will be sent out quartly (at the end of every 9 weeks).
You can alwasy email me but in my calsssroom we use class dojo and this the most effective way to reach me and will result in the fastest responce!

There is free tutoring avaible on campus, please contact me via email to set this up. If you do not want to do tutoriing we can discuss other options like extra practice problems being sent home or more one-on-one when feasible.
At the end of the school year all students will be given a math test to accesse their skills. Based on their results they will be put in accelerated math class starting 7th grade year or they will remain in regular 7th grade math.
Students who test high enough will be places in advanced math at the beging of 7th grade. The first half of school (18 weeks) they will do regualr 7th grade math but at an accelerated pace covering a year of material in 1/2 a year. The 2nd half of the school year (2nd 18 weeks) they will do the same but with 8th grade math. When they start 8th grade, they will be taking a 9th grade math calss. in 9th grade they will be taking a 10th grade math class and so on. Students in the course will be one grade level above in math class.
