Memorial Message from Darlene's son,
John Sanders
My mother was born at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park Maryland. She live in Maryland for 57 years before moving to Florida in 2017.
She always had an obstacle to jump over during her time with us. She was a strong and kind woman that always put others before herself.
Her fight against Lyme disease was a long and hard battle, first in the early 90's, then again starting in the the year 2000.
The 2nd time around was different because her test would come up negative, so it was hard for us to find treatment or a doctor that believed in Lyme disease.
So over time she became chronically ill with it. By the time we found help it was just too late to help her.
On May 23rd, 2018 she was rushed to the hospital and was placed in the ICU until July 6th 2018 when her body just couldn't fight anymore.
She passed away at 11:16 p.m. that night after her body shut down and God came calling for her.
She never gave up hope of walking and not letting Lyme disease control her, even after she became paraplegic and could only use her right arm.
She left behind 3 kids and 3 grandchildren that she would of done anything for to make us happy.
I will continue to raise awareness and tell people about Lyme disease and offer any type of help I can give them.
Thanks for letting me share a little bit about my beloved mother, Darlene Ann Sanders.

* John recently started a GoFundMe account to help raise the money necessary to have his mother transported back to Maryland's Gates of Heaven Cemetery so she can rest in peace along side of John's father and across from her own parent's resting places.
