LX FAMILY

You must be at least 13 years old to apply, join, and participate in roleplay servers. If we find that you are 12 or under, we have the right to take action aganist your Discord Acconut. If you were mistakenly verified as 12 or under, we may give you another opperitunity to verify your age using an ID or you can correct your birthday (you must prove that you are 13 years old or older) for example; an 14-year-old boy thinks he is 11, but is 14.

Why?

Safety & Protection: As a 13+ community, our environment contains mature themes and "grown-up" discussions that are legally and psychologically inappropriate for younger children. Keeping the young children out protects them from exposure to content their developing minds aren't ready for.

Legal Compliance (2026 Standards): Under current laws like HB 37 and the SCOPE Act, digital platforms have a "Duty of Care" to protect minors. Allowing children under 16 into a community with adult interactions carries a civil penalty of up to $10,000 per violation. We enforce these rules to protect the LX FAMILY brand and its members from legal liability.

Discord & Roblox Terms: Both Discord and Roblox have strictly enforced age-gating policies. By removing underage users, we ensure our "Communications Server" and game experiences remain in good standing with platform moderators.

Maturity & Quality: We value high-quality, serious roleplay. A 16+ floor ensures that all members have the digital maturity to follow complex rules, respect admin authority, and use appropriate language without reverting to toxic or impulsive behavior.

Younger children can be exposed to mature, inapporite content and/or behaviors that may cause emtional distress or mental health issues, and some roleplay servers may cause younger children to be overwhelmed. These children are still developing critial phases, specifically in areas related to impulse control, emotional regualtion, and social feedback. While experts say children should not go on social media before age 12, COPPA set it to 13.
