4. Shingle

Shingle is parameteric library object for Shingles tool.

It has 11 different varieties of shingle types:

  • Shingle: regular shingle shape.

  • Left: end shingle, placed on the left end of the shingles row.

  • Right: end shingle, placed on the right end of the shingles row.

  • Top: ridge shingle.

  • Top Start: ridge shingle, placed on the start of the roof ridge line.

  • Top End: ridge shingle, placed on the end of the roof ridge line.

  • Slope: slope shingle.

  • Slope End: slope shingle, placed on the end of the roof slope line.

  • Barge Left: end shingle, placed on the left end of the roof surface, not aligned to the shingles rows.

  • Barge Right: end shingle placed on the right end of the roof surface, not aligned to the shingles rows.

  • Connector: connection shingle, placed on the cross-point between the ridge and slope roof lines.

Shingle parameters (OpenGL buttons):

  • Set Base: defines the base line or base plane of the shingle

  • Set Pivot: defines the connection point where it will be placed on the roof (connectors only)
