Mathematics has long been a discipline based on human intellect. Many scientific discoveries have been an artifact of Mathematical study. Mathematics goes beyond sciences too, many art-forms have hidden patterns that speak to a larger mathematical pattern. Many civilizations have developed interesting hidden treasures through close observations of these mathematical patterns, completely in their own indigenous ways. In LUMS Math Circles, we aim for students to experience this firsthand. We do so by guiding them through activities designed to outline the process of discovery. These activities are fun and simultaneously mathematical in nature.
