City: Namal Mianwali

School: Namal University Mianwali

On the first day of their visit, Dr. Waqas delivered an engaging public talk titled "A brief history of Calculus and its applications in Dynamical systems." The talk provided valuable insights into the historical evolution of Calculus and its practical applications in Dynamical systems. Additionally, Dr. Imran and Dr. Waqas organized a LUMS Math Circle, where approximately 90 enthusiastic students were hosted by Namal University, Mianwali.

During the Math Circle, the students were introduced to various types of ciphers and their intriguing connections with Mathematics. They actively participated in learning how to encode and decode different ciphers, expanding their understanding of mathematical concepts. The session also covered topics such as magic squares, sum tricks, and Napier Bones, further enriching the students' mathematical knowledge.

On the second day, Dr. Imran Anwar presented a thought-provoking talk titled "Mathematics for Flourishing." The session was followed by an engaging Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to delve deeper into the ongoing Mathematical activities and outreach initiatives at LUMS. Dr. Imran's presentation highlighted key aspects of the flourishing Mathematical community at LUMS and its commitment to outreach.

We believe that such initiatives play a crucial role in fostering a love for mathematics among students and promoting its significance in various fields. We appreciate the collaboration with Namal University and extend our gratitude for their warm hospitality during our visit.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the NAMAL University, MIANWALI, students, and everyone involved for their enthusiastic participation and support. It is through such collaborations that we continue to sow the seeds of curiosity and passion for mathematics.
