After years of back pain problems and poor posture, I decided to try yoga again. Unlike the Vinyasa or intense yoga class you normally walk into, Lucy offers one on one class that customized to my need to relieve my pain and restore my core muscles strength. After several months I could notice a significant improvement not only my flexibility, but that my visits to the chiropractor reduced. Previously I had tried acupuncture, massage, chiropractor and nothing provided me the long term results yoga did. I am really excited as I know as I continue I will keep strengthening and improving my body and self awareness. Now even when I’m pregnant, I can still work with Lucy to improve and maintain my body strength. It helps my mobility during pregnancy and also stretch the tight muscles from my heavy bump. I’m really grateful that I made the best decision to work with Lucy.

My husband and I started Lucy’s yoga through zoom last year and really look forward to each lesson. Viniyoga, she teaches, has been very helpful in ways that carefully teaches our body to be aware of each asana to benefit and never extreme enough to injure. We love her flow … We are very thankful for her teaching and knowledge to nurture us in our journey.

Lucy has been a crucial part of my well being for the last five years. Twice a week, Lucy teaches me at my home. Having Parkinson's and being 83 years young, Lucy has been able to strengthen me and increase my mobility at the same time as well as manage symptoms by Parkinson's.

We have taken yoga instruction from Lucy Cheng via Zoom for an average of just over a year. It has been an extremely rewarding and valuable experience for both our minds and bodies. While we have had previous yoga instruction from local city adult school courses and well as city-sponsored courses, our experience with Lucy has been the MOST enriching experience. Due to the limited size of her classes, she is able to clearly focus on each of us during class. We have found it very beneficial that she is able to immediately correct anyone’s improper position to prevent potential ache or injury. Similarly, she has been able to modify for each of our individual needs/injuries any position that we might otherwise be unable to do because of a limitation. It is wonderful that people (even aged 60+ seniors) of different abilities/limitations can be in the same class session receiving full advantage of her instruction.
Lucy has an EXTREMELY calming tone in her voice and is easily able to guide us through the session leaving us feeling better by the end of each class than we felt at the start of class an hour earlier. Each of her sessions are very well-structured to increase the challenge of poses in a very smooth progression as well as allowing ample time to relax one’s body back to normalcy. We have enjoyed the variation in poses each session while reinforcing the basics – thus it’s NEVER boring! We know we are doing the best to keep our spines, backs, hips, legs and core in optimum condition to age “gracefully.” Lucy’s class is always the BEST one hour (scheduled class time) each day we gift ourselves even with a busy lifestyle.
