Submit an application – There is no cost or obligation to apply.
Attend an adoption event – Approved applicants must attend one of our adoption events to meet the animal.
Same-day adoption – If approved, you may take your new pet home the same day.
We do occasionally adopt to applicants outside our immediate area; however, adopters must still attend an event in person. We do not ship animals under any circumstances.
Adoption fees vary by animal and are based on adoptability. More in-demand animals, such as puppies, help offset the medical costs of senior dogs and special-needs cases. For example, a puppy’s adoption fee may help cover spay/neuter surgery, dental work, vaccines, and medical treatment for an older dog. This model allows us to continue rescuing animals who need extensive care.
All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and receive:
First year of Distemper/Parvo vaccines (through Main Street Spay & Neuter)
Rabies vaccination when age-appropriate (through Main Street Spay & Neuter)
Microchip with registration completed for you
Current flea prevention
Current deworming treatment
General health check
Dental care if needed
Our adoption fees are Non-refundable.
We do not typically allow foster-to-adopt, as multiple transitions can be stressful for animals. In certain circumstances, foster-to-adopt may be offered on a case-by-case basis.
If an adopter can no longer care for their animal, we will always take the animal back if a foster home is available. Because we do not have a physical location, returns cannot be immediate. If an adopted puppy grows into an adult with a bite history or becomes unsafe around other dogs, we may not be able to accept the animal back due to foster safety concerns. In those cases, we are happy to assist with a courtesy rehoming post on our Facebook page.
The majority of our adoption events are held at PetSmart on Willamette:
Fridays from 4:00–7:00 PM
Saturdays from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Occasionally, we host events at other locations, and some weeks we may not have events. Please check our Facebook page each week for the most up-to-date event information.
