Lucky Pawz Rescue is a volunteer-based, nonprofit animal rescue with no physical shelter location. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes, which allows us to provide individualized attention and reduces stress for the animals in our care.
We focus primarily on rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters in California, while also assisting with local owner surrenders when foster space allows. All cats in our program come from local surrenders. Our rescue regularly takes in senior animals and medical cases that require extensive veterinary care before adoption.
As a foster-based organization, our capacity is limited by available foster homes. While we wish we could help every animal in need, we must make intake decisions based on safety, available resources, and the well-being of our foster families.
