Week 5

Past Week Accomplishments and Challenges:

Last weeks goal was to finish all the sub systems of the robot. We were challenged with assembling the block puncher once we got our 3D printed parts which proved difficult due to the slightly too tight of tolerances we gave ourselves. The block puncher is now working but still needs to be attached to the robot which is this weeks challenge, to integrate all mechanical and electrical systems. Another agenda item we finished last week was mounting a base pivot motor to the robot along with the belt tensioner. We might want to source a shorter belt because the one we have is plenty long. A better suited power supply has been order for this pivot motor which is needed since our current power supply is to weak for our motor to operate properly.

Week 5 Plan:

• Attach block puncher to robot arm.
• Finish all mechanical work.
• Get stacked motor shields working.
• Test all power supplies for approval.
• Further develop power and wiring methods.
• Have a completed robot (mechanical and electrical).
