Luca grew up in the south-west of the UK surrounded by the Devonshire countryside. In 2019 he moved to Cornwall to study Dance and Choreography at Falmouth University. Luca's formal training allowed him to engage in a host of creative practices including contemporary dance technique, improvised performances, dance academia, fashion design, modelling and much more.
Since graduating from Falmouth University Luca has lived in Germany working for international schools as a dance educator and a wide network of theatre companies and organisations in the Hessen state area. His work as a dance educator and performer has taken him to Frankfurt, Madrid, the Kalahari desert and Truro.
Alongside his dance work, Luca maintains a strong connection to the fashion industry, often combining the two creative practices to produce multi-faceted performances. In his personal life Luca champions sustainable purchasing, buying second-hand clothes and encourages others to find their personal style through experimenting with clothing.
Luca is an outspoken advocate for freedom of expression, civil rights and the importance of arts education in schools and Higher Education. This is realised through his continued academic pursuits and engagement in progressive discourse with other artists, educators and students.
Luca is currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland where he is working as a dancer and co-founder of Yucca Dance.
