Supporting courageous conversations
in your organization and community

Welcome to the
Let's Talk Race experience

This is a space where we provide tools, resources, support and training to start a Let’s Talk Race experience in your community. We've created a pathway for you to customize the program and make it your own.

Let’s Talk Race, LTR for short, began at the Richland Library in Columbia, South Carolina in 2016. We started using small circles of dialogue to spark courageous conversations about race. Our journey continues and we hope you will join us in doing the work.

Goals of the Let's Talk Race experience

“Creating brave spaces for people to put down their defenses and try on new perspectives is the way we’ll build a more just, equitable and fair society.”

Melanie Huggins, Richland Library Executive Director
