Freshman Mentoring Initiative

Initiative Description

The Freshman Mentoring Initiative pairs an upperclassman in the program (the "mentor") with a freshman student (the "mentee") over the summer, so that the mentor can help the mentee get acclimated to the expectations of the program. We plan an Onboarding Day which includes guest speakers and activities to help the freshmen get to know each other and become familiar with the program. Responsibilities for mentors include helping the mentee create his or her Four-Year Plan, periodic check-ins to ensure that their Freshman Year is going well, and other miscellaneous duties related to the success of the mentee. If you are interested in being a mentor for the incoming Class of 2024, please let one of the imitative heads know.
