For GIU to effectively do their jobs, they need to be able to blend in with their surroundings. To achieve this GIU will be in plain cloths and unmarked vehicles. GIU works hand and hand with The Detective Bureau, SWAT and Narcotics to gather intel, evidence, identify the members and compile a list of all charges that the gang has committed. Once GIU have all their evidence and intel they will need to take it and present their case to DOJ and get approval for Arrest Warrants. GIU responds to all gang related charges using unmarked standard police vehicles. GIU can perform interrogations of suspects, examine record and surveille potential marks. While running as GIU you cannot perform traffic stops or respond to any calls not related to gang activity. You can however respond to police needing assistance and panic button but must first go swap to a marked unit.
