Sheriff:
The Sheriff is at the top of the chain of command and oversees the department and is responsible for making sure the department is running smoothly and at its full potential.
Undersheriff:
The Undersheriff is appointed by the Sheriff. The Undersheriff works hand in hand with the Sheriff to make decisions that are best for the department. The Undersheriff holds the same power as the Sheriff. This ensures If the Sheriff is out there is an equal power to run the department.
Chief Deputy:
The Chief Deputy assists both the Sheriff and Undersheriff in development, administration, and coordination, and helps organize department policies and activities. The Chief Deputy may also take over the department if both the Sheriff and Undersheriff are out.
Assistant Sheriff:
The Assistant Sheriff serves as the Assistant lead of command to the Sheriff, Undersheriff, and Chief Deputy. The Assistant Sheriff is responsible for the administration work and being an advisor to the command staff.
Commander
The Commander oversees the day-to-day operation of the department. They are responsible for every area of command within the Los Santos County Sheriff's Office.
Captain
The Captains are responsible for area command stations and ensure that their station is running to its full potential. They oversee normal deputies and supervisors within their area command. They overlook all subdivisions and play a vital role in ensuring the success of the department.
Lieutenant
Lieutenants are responsible for running and overseeing a subdivision. They are responsible for all deputies in their subdivision. They oversee the supervisors, assist them with anything they may need or take it up the chain if required.
Sergeant
Sergeants are the very first supervisor position within the Los Santos County Sheriff's Office. They show leadership and oversee all deputies with any questions or concerns they may have. They relay information to their superiors as needed and assist in subdivisions.
Corporal
Corporals are senior deputies who assist deputies who may have questions or concerns. Corporals are the leaders in-field training. They work closely with Sergeants to ensure deputie's needs are met.
Master Deputy:
Master Deputies are a senior deputy rank in the field. They assist deputies in questions or concerns and act as a partner to normal deputies. At this rank they can also join the FTO Program and start their leadership career.
