Virtual Background Build Challenge
With all of us spending more time on video calls than ever before I thought it would be fun to do some LEGO building to make our calls a bit more fun!
Many companies have been sharing virtual backgrounds for us to use which have been quite fun like Star Wars.
Recently, in one of my LEG) groups I am part of I came across this awesome work from a builder @clairenbricks who shared a couple awesome backgrounds she created.
Her builds inspired me to want to make my own and as a result I thought it would be fun for all of us to make some virtual backgrounds using LEGO so we can have sweet collection for us all to use!
And yes, I seek permission from Claire to use her pictures and ideas with credit!
Learn all about the amazing work of Claire that inspired this challenge!
Check out her Instagram account to see more of her work and be inspired not just with Virtual Backgrounds, but other builds as well.
Claire shared a pic and a quick video to give you glimpse of her builds from the side! Look at these to begin to think about your own build.
Good video to understand the build!
Consider the fact that a body will take up most of the middle of the background.
Keep it school safe so students can use these if they are allowed to
Make it fun!
Size of background should be a widescreen build to be able to fit a computer screen without too much stretching.
I am using a regular baseplate of 32x32 to give me a good size to work with.
Be sure to check out Step 2: How to see how Claire layered the builds for depth and perspective.
Take a nice picture of your build. Try to have the build be the only thing in the picture. Try to have good lighting and make it is a nice as you can.
Please share the picture with me so I can load the image here to the site so that we can see your work as well as allow others to use your builds.
I can give you credit under the picture when you submit.
Option 1: Post your builds to the FB Post - please share you pictures of your builds to the post on the FB site
Option 2: You can email me like many of you do and I will add them to the website.
