Loyola Astro Club has conducted several outreach programs in and around Tamil Nadu. You can have an overview about the events conducted here.
(December, 2019) Loyola Astro Club along with Kalam's Observatory made a live stream of Annular Solar eclipse that occurred on December 26, 2019 from Palakkad. The crowd consisted folks from LAC, Kalam's Observatory and IUCAA, Pune having people of different age groups.
(October , 2019) LAC conducted an outreach session in Kalam's Observatory, Chennai.
Periodic sessions on Chandrayan 2 and Star hopping and a quiz competition was conducted to nearly 30 kids in Kalam’s observatory on October 8, 2019.
Those kids not only enjoyed the session but also learnt some new things regarding astronomy and rocket science.
( July, 2019) LAC conducted a session on general aspects of astronomy in Khivraj Olympia School in collaboration with Kalam’s Observatory.
( May , 2019) LAC and Kalam's observatory conducted a two days camp in Thirunelveli.
(April, 2019) Loyola Astro Club in collaboration with Kalam’s observatory conducted a special camp on Astronomy to the school Students on April 12-14, 2019.
(February, 2019) Karpagam University, Coimbatore invited Loyola Astro Club to conduct a session on “BASIC CONCEPTS IN ASTRONOMY”.
(January, 2019) LAC conducted a session in Stella Maris College, Chennai.
(February, 2018) LAC visited a government school in Poonamalli and enlightened the knowledge of students regarding astronomy.
( May, 2017) Three days outreach camp was set in Palayamkottai to share our knowledge about astronomy to the people in there.
