1018A Bell AVR Coach - Lovejoy High School
Mrs. Gaddie has put in countless hours promoting STEM in our school. She is passionate about teaching math and PLTW courses, including POE and Aerospace Engineering. By offering her students hands-on projects and engaging field trips, Mrs. Gaddie exposes her students to engineering in the real world. She fosters her students’ love and curiosity for STEM, encouraging them to pursue engineering careers in the future. Behind the scenes, she has written numerous grants to improve the engineering programs and classes at Lovejoy High School. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Gaddie is a strong advocate for the Lovejoy Robotics Program—mentoring robotics teams in need, volunteering at the Robotics Summer Camp, and helping Coach Strickland manage the robotics organization. She especially supports young women in engineering by encouraging them to join the robotics program and persevere in the male-dominated field. On top of that, she also launched Lovejoy’s first Bell Vertical Robotics Competition team in 2021 and is planning on continuing its legacy in the coming years. All in all, Mrs. Gaddie promotes STEM education to all of her students and hopes to lead them all to success.
