As a family, we know it is hard to juggle work, sick kids and other house hold jobs and try and get your kids to do any type of “work”. But learning doesn’t have to be work, it should be fun. It’s a great time to play and connect with each other...when you can! You have so much in your home that you can use..you don’t need to get anything..take a break..or have a coffee, water or whatever excites you, choose one idea that connects with you and give it a go. Kindness:

Kindness is an incredible gift both to yourself and others. The feeling you get when you made someone's day builds your strength too. One thing to remember is not to always jeopardize your own happiness for others. Fill yourself up first so you can help others.

Lead by example: they see you holding the door, helping someone carry groceries, loading stuff into their car, shovelling snow, making a meal for someone they begin to follow these behaviours too..kindness can be contagious:)!!!

As my daughter says, "team work makes the dream work", as you learn new things you can now teach those things to someone else...build their confidence and yours too!

Tips:

-LISTEN: listen to what people enjoy and give your time to them to do those things together, listen what people are struggling with and spend time helping..if you help a friend with their weeds or laundry it's still time together that counts!

-SHARE WHAT YOU LIKE ABOUT SOMEONE: the greatest gift you can give someone is to focus on their strengths..what do you like about them..

-SMILE, CHAT, be you...if your nervous to talk to others, or just not in the mood a simple smile or good morning could change the tone of your day and theirs...if your intentions are good and kind don't worry what others will think..it's a hard one I know but an important one.

-SHARE: knowledge, resources, information and insights...we learn together..you don't need to know everything but don't stop learning..knowledge is power..power to grow, change and make a difference.
