Where the Food at?
Food apartheids are real as fuck! This is the systemic way to starve generational improved demographics. These aren’t food deserts: the food didn’t disappear, it was taken! BIPOC communities will be further removed from access to basic needs as the city shuts down.
This section is specifically to locate food sources for West End and Black Louisville communities.

The COVID-19 Response package suspends work and training requirements, and allows states to request waivers that provide emergency benefits allowing beneficiaries to stock up at grocery stores.

$500 million in additional funding has been set aside for pregnant persons and mothers under the COVID-19 emergency aid package.

Congregate Nutrition Sites (Senior Nutrition Program)

Restaurant Workers Relief Program
Dinners for restaurant workers who have been laid off or have had a significant reduction in hours and/or pay
Bring a paycheck stub or proof of restaurant employment
Can also provide some supplies (diapers, wipes, baby food, toilet paper, etc.) -- bring a list of needs with you
7 days/wk, 5:00pm to 8:30pm
Pick up location: 621 West Magnolia Ave.
Mobile pantries and Zero Hunger mobile market will remain on regular schedules. Grab-and-go cold lunches will be available at Kids Cafe sites.
