The mission of the Los Santos County Police Department is to work collaboratively with the community to prevent crime and disorder, solve related problems, reduce fear of crime and enforce the laws according to the U.S. Constitution in order to provide a safe and secure environment for all citizens of this great county.

The Los Santos County Police Department is committed to providing the highest level of public service while practicing the ultimate ideals of law enforcement excellence. CODE OF ETHICS

As a law enforcement officer, my fundamental duty is to serve the community; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the constitutional rights of all liberty, equality, and justice.

I will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, political beliefs, aspirations, animosities or friendships to influence my decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminals, I will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.

I recognize the badge of my office as a symbol of public faith, and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I am true to the ethics of police service. I will never engage in acts of corruption or bribery, nor will I condone such acts by other police officers. I will cooperate with all legally authorized agencies and their representatives in the pursuit of justice.

SAN ANDREAS DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT

The Los Santos County Police Department (LSCPD) is the parent agency of law enforcement agencies within Los Santos County. Member agencies operate by sharing resources and personnel, collectively providing services to each other that might not be available to one. LSCPD coordinates this sharing of personnel and resources to provide its member agencies with the ability to provide supplemental services to the 300,000 people in the 30.84 square miles they serve.

LOS SANTOS COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCREDITATION

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. is a credentialing authority, based in the United States, whose primary mission is to accredit public safety agencies, namely law enforcement agencies, training academies, communications centers, and campus public safety agencies.

The Los Santos County Police Department (LSCPD) is proud to be a CALEA accredited agency. The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement, Inc. CALEA was established in 1979 to assist law enforcement agencies in creating and maintaining high standards of excellence. The Los Santos County Police Department was awarded Tier Two Advanced Law Enforcement Accreditation in 2022, making the agency the only accredited law enforcement agency achieving and maintaining such prestigious recognition in the State of San Andreas. Additionally, LSCPD has maintained the State of San Andreas Law Enforcement Enforcement Standards Certification again making the agency, 1 of 3 law enforcement agencies across the State of San Andreas to receive and maintain such recognition.
