BUREAUS

The Los Santos County Police Department Patrol Operations Bureau has the responsibility to protect the lives and property of the residents of Los Santos County and all visitors within the jurisdiction of Los Santos County. The patrol actively works to prevent and detect all violators of city and county ordinances, along with state and federal statutes. Traffic Enforcement and Accident Reconstruction (T.E.A.R) are also vital parts of this bureau.

The Los Santos County Police Department Special Operations Bureau has the responsibility for conducting investigating open and unsolved crimes against persons and property. The Bureau allows the department to direct resources to a specific problem area within the city and county without having to divert patrol officers from their normal duties. The objective of the unit is to deter crime from occurring through highly proactive enforcement and through directed enforcement following problem oriented policing strategies.
