We as parents need an occasional break and time to talk and connect with other parents, without our young charges.
At our monthly Parent Potlucks (third Friday evening each month), we get a chance to share a delicious meal, learn together important aspects of educating our children, and discuss a classic book.
This is an enjoyable time to connect, get to know each other, and take some self-care time for parents!
Yes! Moms, you matter too! Once per school year, there is an optional "Moms' Retreat" for all the moms to have a quiet get-away for two days. Mamas, bring your books, your paints, your walking shoes, or your favorite snuggly blanket and take some much needed time for YOU!
We make and eat meals together and have time to either sit and chat or take time for ourselves. This allows time for you to do whatever it is that YOU need to refuel, then to return home refreshed. There are no expectations for what you choose to do.
Near the end of the school year (around May/June), we have a day to support the entrepreneur in each child. They get to design and create a product or service of their choosing, and we provide a place for them to sell it. Think of it as a glorified Lemonade Stand for kids of all ages and products of all types!
This event is required for the Scholar Class however, it is optional for the younger classes.
