Voices of loners
User bluesapphire on medium wrote about how they expirenced what being a loner was. Loners are often mistreated and misunderstood people that have always existed in the background. Many of them seek isolation and are called strange for it. Without any other adjectives that make them interesting they are nothing but “John Does” according to the article.
Jeff Barton writes on what being alone is like for them on a personal level. They explain how being alone is who they are and it is like home to them. He figures that ending up being alone is better than wishing you were. The freedom he experiences is life-changing for him.
Loners speaking out in forums
Many loners speak more openly online with their own experiences to share with others
One was a temporary student that had to move every so often due to their parent’s job and so became a loner. They have used that experience and become more mentally stable from being alone.
Being an outcast helped someone realize that they don’t always need someone around in order to help themselves and allowed them to grow more independently strong.
Even though one person was misunderstood and bullied, and so was outed out due to being goth. They became a social worker later in life and helped others instead of using that past hatred to become a worse person
