What do people think when they first hear loner?
An article speaks of a terrorist attack that has occured and speaks of how loners can be seen as them. Society pressures people into maybe different situations that can make them feel stressed, impacting their mental health and so pushing them into doing terrible things. Often hate towards the person makes them feel a sort of resentment towards others and want to take “revenge” for it.
Smitha Bhandar explains the signs of behing a loner. Being a loner means you would rather not be with yourself than with other people. Society is the one that puts those negative connotations onto loners. Loners/introverts often just enjoy spending more time with themselves than others, not making them weird. However there could be types of loners that make others group them together based on how a loner thinks about their life. They could be alone because they just do better by being alone and happy with it, but others could think of other people as negative and hate spending time with others.
Lily Ramsey would explain how lonely people process the world in a different way than most other people in their own “idiosyncratic way”. According to the study when scanning the brains of each party (lonely and non lonely) the brain patterns were different. Each of the lonely people had different brain patterns than similar however.
This proves how lonely people think differently than others, however, they are not similar to each other. People often group them together as if they think the same as each other, but this isn’t true as how “lonely” they are is different from each other.
In an article, loners often are outed as strange due to humans being social animals. This is normal however as there will always be the ones that try to achieve goals on their own than with others. “Loner humans are widespread. They are defined as outliers compared to the rest of society.
