Share Your Stimulus Check
UPDATED 1/3/21 - Many in our community are interested in allocating part or all of their pandemic stimulus checks to those most in need. We recommend donating to the following local frontline efforts which consistently met our members' needs in 2020.
This 501c3 nonprofit is comprised of all volunteers who deliver groceries, sanitation supplies, pet food, and diapers to those in need. You can donate to their essential supplies delivery program. You can also help them cover their rent/utilities and overhead costs.
This program provides rent/mortgage payment assistance, utilities, food, household products, and diapers/formula for those experiencing a financial crisis.
You can donate here for Giles, Radford City, or Floyd. For Pulaski, donate here. For Montgomery, donate here. Wish list and Amazon wishlist here.
Provides free, trauma-informed services to victims of sexual and domestic violence. We are hearing nationally that intimate partner/family violence numbers are rising. In March 2020 we took 35% more calls on our hotline than March last year. Donate here.
Provides assistance for community needs including housing, utilities, and transportation.
