Hey there all you second graders, ready to be done with this distance learning, well I know I am, I'm ready to be back in the classroom, we shall see what August brings. Anyway, this week, since it is a short week for some, some of you, or all of you, I don't know, will be handing in your borrowed school equipment on Thursday and some on Friday, so I am calling this a week where we all work through Wednesday for sure! What I have done is put some websites that maybe you can transfer to a home device so you can play with these sites all summer, like when you get bored of playing video games, or watching TV, or don't enjoy going outside, for what ever reason!! There will be the story, as well as the website where I have gotten other stories, you can also visit that and listen to stories all summer long, Any way, here we go, the last lesson of the school year!!!

This weeks story goes along with a music term video that you watched last week about tempo, the song "Presto/Largo", fast and slow, and those words could have been used in this story to describe the Tortoise ad the Hare. Always remember that slow and steady always wins the race!

Here is a song-a-long from one of my favorite groups, 'The Muppets', and they are singing "Movin' Right Along', and that is sort of how life goes, we cannot stop the clock, we can't turn back time so it is forward we must go, into the future and as we go we need to make some changes!

This first website is kind of cool, when you go on it you will answer the questions by clicking on a picture, after you have answered all the questions, it will tell you what instrument you would be, if you were an instrumet!

On this website all you have to do is make music, there are really some fun ways to make music as well as some really annoying, but only to others, you will enjoy making the music, I guarantee!

Before I finish for the week there is one more video that I would like to share. Last week was the last episode of "American Idol" and the winner is a young women by the name of 'Just Sam' with a wonderful voice. Anyway in this video she is singing with one of the judges, Lionel Richie, and many years ago he wrote and sang a song, "We Are the World" and that is the song that she did for the finale, with Lionel. This song has been done many time throughout the years to bring awareness to things that were going on in the world and I think it works again, for what is going on in our city and state! I am sure if you ask your parents and grandparents they will have heard this song and by different voices. Enjoy!
