Famine Island's locusts differ from the Akrida Island Locusts (pictured below) in that they have more spike-like formations on their tail and have a closer resemblence to Locust F3. Additionally, these locusts are slightly bigger, allowing for bigger food consumption. Speaking of food, these locusts are herbivorous & ditritivorous, meanwhile the Akrida Locusts are Hyper-Carnivorous.

The most well known species of Astro Locust, these things come naturally with L.O.C.U.S.T himself, basically being like a swarm that can he can communicate with to summon their presence. It's said that the presence of any ordinary locust (not just the Akridian ones) is a sign that L.O.C.U.S.T is nearby,  or that you will make a bad decision very soon in your life. In this case, it corresponds with the Novel in which Lewis finds a regular locust chilling on the ground & picks it up, and, of couse, he ends up getting the idea to go to Akrida Island afterwards. It's also said that ever since L.O.C.U.S.T actually took his "First" form, "The Locust Form",  the Tahnžarr Realm has been under a constant infestation of locusts, with the locust plagues the locals deal with being far worse than usual.
