The calculator operates on a localization-based concept, assuming uniform manufacturing processes for the same material across all locations and transportation to Hong Kong. This approach is employed to calculate the emission factor in stages A1 to A4 of these construction materials. 

Features:

• Includes all materials and EF data in the ICE database (v2.0).

• Allows manual input on various transport modes and distances.

• Compares and visualizes country-specific localized emission factors for Stages A1-A4.

• Provides separate calculation results for the production stages (A1-A3) and the transportation stage (A4), enabling a holistic analysis of carbon emissions during different stages of the construction process.

Features:

• The same functionality and operation are applicable as in the previous calculator, but this calculator allows users to obtain country-specific localized emission factors for additional products/materials on top of the ICE database (v2.0).

• Additional products/materials will be reviewed and incorporated into the calculator database periodically.

• This tool maintains all previous functionality while featuring a simple interface design and addition of plant-based and recycled materials.

• This tool incorporates a "Source Classification" filter that enables users to choose  between "Virgin" and  "Recycled Material" inputs.
