Supports for Lesson Implementation

The LMR Lesson Guides review the mathematics of integers and fractions and support teachers with implementation of each lesson. An overview of the lesson guides is available here.

Each of the 26 Lesson Guides contain:

1. Background on the mathematics of integers and fractions and an overview of the mathematical coherence of LMR
2. A framework for interpreting the development of students' mathematical reasoning over the series of lessons.
3. Guidance with each LMR lesson. The Lesson Guides describe the lesson structure, discuss the understanding that students are likely to reveal as they work on LMR problems, and illustrate ways of supporting students in developing new insights and connections across important mathematical ideas.
