On this page, you will found links to download the LMR Curriculum. The LMR Curriculum is free for non-commercial use. Please send any inquiries about commercial use or derived works to lmr@berkeley.edu.

Introduction to the Lessons. Consider first downloading (strongly recommended!) the Lesson Guide Introduction, which provides essential background on LMR and an orientation to the lesson guides. The lesson guide introduction describes the motivation for the lessons, the rationale for the choice of the number line as a central representational context for the lessons, the design principles that guided the lesson development process, an overview of the studies that provided a foundation for lesson development, and an overview of the lessons’ organization including supports for teachers who may be implementing the lessons.

• Principles/Definitions. Poster for Principles and Definitions (positive integers). Completed Poster (for Teachers), Poster Form (for Students), Large Classroom Poster (to be completed with students in wholeclass discussions)
• Teacher Transparency for Whole Class Presentations/Discussions. Overhead transparencies (files could be converted to support other kinds of projection)
• Student worksheets. Individual and partner work (for lessons on positive integers)
