Musical Miscellany

There is a reason I'm not making a living as a musician (see: Florence Foster Jenkins), but that hasn't stopped me from recording and sharing my various noises anyway! I've selected four tracks here of my original work from the lot of drafts and demos I've assembled on SoundCloud:

  • Two songs written and recorded for a little EP I'm going to put out sometime in the near future, mixed and otherwise assembled by a friend of mine with far more skill at recording than I have ("Sinner's Hymn" and "Scarlet")
  • An improvised arrangement for violin and octave mandolin of a traditional tune, "Over the Hills and Far Away" (think Sharpe, not Zeppelin); it's sort of awful as a recording, but every now and then it sort of works
  • My setting of a Yeats poem for voice, guitar, and violin/viola (again, not a particularly good recording, but fine as an experiment)
