Portfolio and Miscellany

Welcome!

This is my personal web site, where you'll find my CV and some selections of my academic and non-academic work.

About Me:

My first academic love was philosophy (BA, MA, and PhD). For more than 15 years, I taught philosophy at Buena Vista University, a small regional institution in rural Storm Lake, IA. When the university eliminated my program as the result of an institution-wide prioritization strategy, I shifted from my faculty role to administration; I currently work as the administrative coordinator for the Honors and Dean's Fellows programs at BVU, which isn't bad as a place to land for a little while -- I helped create the Honors program at BVU, after all!

In 2016, I got my Masters in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University, and I'd love to find a position in an academic library or a special library (or another philosophy gig, if there are any to be had); in addition to my current administrative work at BVU, I'll also be working as a temporary part-time archivist with the BVU Library for 2018. If you're recruiting for any of the above, check out my CV and my Portfolio, and please feel free to send me an email!

When I'm not teaching and learning and working, I'm making music and taking pictures and hanging out with my dogs. Some of my utterly amateur recorded music and digital photography are featured here as miscellany, as well as a link to my personal blog.
