The County of Luna invites community members to participate in the upcoming work sessions for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP). These sessions will provide an opportunity to discuss current and upcoming infrastructure projects that impact our community. The Work Sessions will be held at the Luna County Commission Chambers located at 700 S Silver Avenue, Deming, NM 88030.

May 20th - The first vegetable container gardening class was launched at Mary Meades' house with Alberta teaching the classes.
May 15th - Carol Felsing connected with a local farmer to acquire the 25 gal. feed buckets to help launch the vegetable container gardening feeding project, "teach a man to fish...".
May 1st - May Day protest at the Deming Courthouse.
May 7th - Mary and Karel got signatures for The Forward Party Petition at WNMU
April 15th - Mary Meade attended the Launch of the Forward Party in Albuquerque. Supporting candidates with integrity, not locked into an intractable two party system, is the beginning of real democracy.

April 31st Rick Lass, former Green Party candidate taught how to complete New Party Registration Petitions with class online and at Mary's house.
March, Mary Meade ran for Vice Chair of the Luna County Democratic Party, reaching a commitment with Christie Trejo to support her for Chair only to have Christie Trejo pull a switch at the last minute to eliminate Mary from obtaining any seat in the Party, demonstrating the prevalent lack of ethics in the Luna County Democratic Party.
March 1st.- NMU students 11am Courthouse Park, Walk for immigration.
March, Mary Meade printed “Red” cards, “Know Your Rights” for neighborhood distribution; offered to print for others.
March, Nadine met with the Garden Club and County personnel to start a conversation about planting medians and creating green spaces around the county.
March, Mary Harrell researched the assistance we can give to support one of Deming’s teachers with needing to leave the country due to residency issues and that has been resolved.
