The Mimbres Peaks have been defined by local and state groups concerned with protecting the natural beauty of these Luna County precious resources. They include the Mogollon mountains and Cooks Peak to the north, the Floridas in central Luna County, as well as the Three Sisters near Columbus. From rock hounding, hunting, off-roading, hiking and just admiring their beauty from afar, the Peaks that surround us as we travel from Deming to Columbus are a local treasure.
