A: Above all, we look for a distinct sonic identity, atmospheric depth, and a clear artistic vision. Our label is heavily rooted in alternative, cinematic, and late-night electronic frequencies. We prioritize tracks that evoke an immediate mood or tell a story. Production quality matters, but raw emotional delivery and unique textures will always catch our attention first.

Q: Can I submit material if I have uncleared samples or remixes of existing tracks?

A: No. Out of respect for copyright laws and the safety of our distribution channels, Liwaxs Granth Records strictly accepts 100% original material. All vocals, instruments, and samples must be completely owned by you or officially cleared prior to submission. Bootlegs, unauthorized remixes, or tracks utilizing uncleared commercial loops will be automatically disqualified.

Q: I am an independent artist with no previous official releases. Do I stand a chance?

A: Absolutely. We do not judge artists based on their social media follower count or streaming history. We judge the music. Some of the most compelling art comes from entirely undiscovered bedrooms and home studios. If your sound aligns with our vision, we are fully prepared to help build your presence from the ground up.

Distribution, Royalties & Financials

Q: How does the royalty split work, and what are the available distribution tiers?

A: At Liwaxs Granth Records, we offer two distinct distribution pathways tailored to independent creators, allowing you to choose the financial model that best fits your current career stage:

• Premium Distribution Tier: This tier is designed for artists looking to maximize their revenue. Under our Premium plan, you retain 100% of your generated royalties. There are no backend cuts or percentage splits taken by the label from your streaming revenue; you keep everything your music earns.

• Standard (Free) Distribution Tier: This tier allows artists to distribute their music worldwide with zero upfront costs. Under this model, 75% of the generated royalties go directly to the artist, while a 25% split is retained by the label to cover global distribution maintenance, backend administration, and operational costs.

You can easily transition between these tiers depending on your rollout strategy and budget.

Q: How are royalties tracked, and when do artists get paid?

A: All streaming metrics, territorial data, and financial earnings are tracked directly through our centralized label infrastructure. Royalties are calculated monthly as data rolls in from global DSPs. Once your account meets our minimum payout threshold, earnings are securely transferred directly to your designated payout method. We maintain a strict policy of financial transparency, ensuring every artist can easily monitor their catalog's global performance.

Licensing & Operations

Q: What type of contract length or commitment does the label require?

A: Because we operate as a boutique collective, we do not believe in predatory, old-school industry contracts that lock artists down indefinitely. We offer flexible, project-based licensing agreements. Our goal is to form a mutually beneficial partnership where you retain creative control over your output while utilizing our distribution network and branding power to grow your audience.

Q: Can content creators, streamers, or indie filmmakers use the label's catalog?

A: We heavily support the independent creative community. For non-monetized, user-generated content on platforms like YouTube or Twitch, you are generally permitted to use our catalog provided that clear written credit is given to the artist and Liwaxs Granth Records in the description. For any commercial usage, independent films, monetization, or corporate brand integration, a formal sync license is mandatory.
