We have a great lineup for the coming year in which we plan to include a field trip to Atlanta! * This is the first of a two-part series. Due to the enormity of the Atlanta Campaign, we will cover it in two parts, each followed by a two-night field trip. This will provide our best "school house" coverage of the campaign while preparing us for the follow-up field trips to the many battle sites in the Northwest Georgia/Atlanta area. The first field trip corresponding to Part 1, Ringold to Kennesaw Mountain, is planned for October 21st through 23rd, 2011 as soon after the Part 1 lecture as possible. In Part 2 (next year) the lecture and trip will cover the crossing of the Chattahoochee, Cyclorama, Atlanta History Center, Jonesboro, and more. Our friends and neighbors all throughout the heartlands are welcome to participate. Details and logistics of the field trips are still being worked out, so watch this website for further developments.
