Order 3 brings to the table the idea of an afterlife. Lithias doesn't necessarily believe Jesus is God, though there is nothing specifically saying he is not, but rather the being that is god is not seen as human and is not thought to take the shape of a human ever. This order also introduces the Devil who doesn't really look like that in this picture, but as he is a demi-god type being, he does have a physical form, unlike god.
In Lithias, it is not thought that one will go either to Heaven or Hell when they die, but it instead takes the novel idea that upon the death of an individual, they will be sent to hell, then heaven, as well as being reincarnated.
After one's stay in Hell, they will wake up in Heaven. A person doesn't take the form they had as a child, or the form they had at death, but the form that they would most like to take, which for some is a child, others it's their 20s, and others go with how they looked when they were 70, it's all up to that person. No matter the age they look, everyone feels just fantastic, no aches, pains, sores, allergies, just fantastic. People can spend time with their family, even say great-grandparents who passed before they were born. The one downside to Heaven is that although not linked to the time that passes on Earth if you die and 20 years later your sister dies, it will take 20 years in Heaven, for your sister to show up. Thankfully the time between won't feel like a burden, and you probably won't mind them living an extra 20 years even if that delays your next chat with them.
In Heaven, since everyone has learned in Hell how it feels to be on both sides of every sin they committed, people avoid doing anything that harms others, so there are very few negative occasions like that.
When an individual dies, they will almost certainly go to Hell, unless they have a "positive moral balance", which is seen most commonly in those who died young, people who worked hard to do good for the world, and monks. But for most everyone else, after death, a person will find themself in Hell. Thankfully for those people, Hell isn't as awful a place as described in most religions, and isn't the furnace depicted above. Most people's time in Hell isn't very lucid, but they learn a lesson there. In Hell, most have to experience the (intentional) pain they inflicted on others during their life.
There are two parts to Hell, the one depicted above, and the kingdom of "Tartarus", ruled over by the Devil. Little is really known about this kingdom, it's not an awful place to be, but it's not as flawless as Heaven is said to be.
According to Lithan beliefs, every living thing has both a soul and a spirit. When one begins life a spirit starts to form, this is the you part of you, the part that brings consciousness to you. It develops as you develop, and holds your personality and really who you are. When you die your spirit ascends either to Heaven or Hell, and you know what happens there if you are reading this from top to bottom.
The Soul, however, is still you, but a different part of you. Once your life starts, you get a soul (and an undeveloped spirit), this soul was once occupied by many many people before you. In your past life, you may have been a frog, but that is almost impossible, as your soul is much more likely to be from a living thing more closely related to you, so it's more likely you were your great-grandmother or someone like that in your past life. That however is still rare, most likely there are at least 15 or more generations before a common ancestor and your soul's previous holder.
In life, the soul is pretty much a copy of your spirit, with the addition of the spirits of all previous holders, but the more recent holders are much more prominent. Your soul also has an influence on your personality, just as does your genetics and raising/life experience. There is a limited number of souls in existence, and can only be duplicated by asexual reproduction.
When you die, your soul will go on to find another person to become. The soul doesn't go up to heaven in its time before finding a new holder, it wanders the earth like a ghost until choosing a new person to become.
Satan's Symbol depicted above.
The Devil, Satan, Lucifer, Sin, Hades, Diablo, and many other names are used for this being. Being a demi-god, the devil is much more comprehendible to us than God. Hades does actually have a gender, that being male, which is explained in the Order 6 Creation Myth. Much information on the Devil is tied to that creation myth, and as Order 3 doesn't necessarily believe in that, I will leave that out for the time being.
In Order 3, It is believed that God created the devil as a companion, and for many years they reigned side by side as great friends. Eventually, Satan grew upset at God and decided he would stand with the side of evil, over that of good. He gathered a following, and instructed them all to work on the side of havoc and chaos, vandalizing, destroying, stealing, murdering, and other hateful and terrible sins. In response to this terror, God created Hell, where he then banished Satan and all his followers. With the situation under control, god decided to split this new realm into two, one remaining as Hell, and the other became Heaven. In spite of his situation, the Devil was still able to make something of Hell (Tartarus). After some time, Lucifer was able to regain the trust of his old friend God, but his reputation remains tarnished.
