Vocabulary is an important focus of literacy teaching and refers to the knowledge or words. Vocabulary refers to knowledge of the meanings of individual words being read. It can also be described as a list or collection of words defined or explained. 

Vocabulary is important and useful for developing knowledge and skills in multiple different aspects of language and literacy. Vocabulary contributes greatly to the readers comprehension. It can also affect our students ability to understand and use words in the correct context during the languge acts of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
