Anchor Charts

Anchor Charts

Do you want your students to have a reference that they can use after a lesson to make sure they are on track for a specific concept? Anchor charts could be your answer. They are used to support a lesson and "anchor" the learning for the students. It is best to create these with students during a lesson, if possible, and have them displayed in the room as a reference for students. For more information on Anchor Charts, check out Anchor Charts 101: Why and How to Use Them.

  • The Programming Knowledge Support Sheets (scroll down a bit) would be great for "anchoring" student thinking around coding concepts. If you want to create these with students, these could be a guide to use when you are creating one.
  • Check out the Tips From Teachers at CS4AllKids for some examples created by teachers and with students.
