Overview

As Lead Designer for the IBM App Store, I designed an intuitive and engaging mobile experience for employees to access a curated selection of IBM applications. The platform aimed to boost productivity, streamline workflows, and provide secure, accessible access to essential tools across iOS and Android devices.

• Need for a consistent user experience across iOS and Android platforms.

• Conducted user research and workflow analysis to understand employee needs and priorities.

• Created wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models that reflected user-centric design principles.

• Worked closely with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure consistent integration with React Native and the IBM Carbon Design System.

• Iterated designs based on usability testing and feedback to refine navigation, layout, and app discovery.

Outcome

The IBM App Store provided employees with a seamless, secure, and user-friendly platform to discover and use IBM apps. Productivity improved as users had easier access to relevant tools, adoption of mobile applications increased, and employee satisfaction with the digital workplace experience was enhanced. The consistent design system also enabled scalable updates and cross-platform consistency.
