Notice how they move around like the characters do and they take on the characteristics of the characters. Do you notice them swapping the other characters but keep Belle consistent? Disney provides the translation for the their shows so that they're standard for all of their shows.
Some fun signs together
Disney auction! So fast!
The moment at 1:12 is my favorite -- don't skip over it.... but you can also see how one interpreter steps out to give the other the stage when only one person is speaking.
Do we love the smocks? But ntoice when they sit to let us just see what's happening.
Love their characters and how each one is so distinct. In scenes with mulitple characters you know when they swtich. They do the little things like putting the gum under the table (but making sure there's a table first), bouncing on an imaginary ball, making harmonizing their music a visual thing.
Great example of representing speaker styles and interacting with each other in the environment that they've created. Chelsey's Janet and Jessica's Jason are my favorites.
This is an example of insanity. They picked an episode with crazy songs and then made them all work!
Sarah and Melisa interact really well -- a highlight is when they crawl into bed together and "Sarah" farts under the covers... (3:30)
Great characters, nice translation choices - I can see Miss Celie... How do you go back and forth between being two characters in the same scene? Who do you react as?
These characters talk over and interupt each other often, even with the music! Highlights is the riff off section (starts at 5:00) - watch how they react to each other as the other teams and interupt each other.
They picked the special pie part... and that's the part I usually show. It's the little things like when you say "Get me some" (meaning a piece of pie), and to get the pie you have to have a plate first... but the next line is about where to get a plate... so there was restructuring based on how ASL works (2:20).
The biggest challenge in this movie was their use of vocabulary words. The main character is trying to use words she doesn't really know in order to sound smarter and she's not doing well. How do you represent that? And I only have to think about Angelica standing over the steam grate to laugh (2:15).
There were times when Rachel's character was alone on the screen -- what did Kamille do?
They had FUN! And because they had fun, we had fun. Challenging to watch tv and then have those commercials become a part of the movie.. Paige and Bella also take advantage of standing and swap places during their movie.
Lots of fun with shared signs
You can see how Sierra stays engaged with the scene even during parts when the Genie has his song. She helps enhance the music of the scene by her reactions and how she plays off of him. (they also have the backdrop fall during their movie and keep going!)
Great characterizations!
Lots of challenging lines, quick humor, slang.. and a very creative ending!
Creative beginning! In the movie the alien is looking in through the sliding glass door, but their body is bent and they're looking at them sideways (see the picture to the right).... Also lots of just nonsense words as they're explaining the battles of their planets. Great characterizations!
