Director and Speech and Language Therapist

Based in Stratford upon Avon

With 30 years experience, I worked both in the UK and abroad before furthering my studies with a Masters at University College London. While maintaining my work with the NHS, I trained as an Intermediary and worked with the Ministry of Justice for a couple of years before having my 3 children. I provide an independent service to families wanting someone to listen to their concerns and work with them and colleagues in the NHS, to support their child's communication with effective intervention.

I have worked in a variety of specialisms including 0-3 year complex needs, school age and most recently special schools. I have a wide range of post graduate training and experience including SCERTS, Makaton and more recently AAC using iPad software. This has developed specialist skills with autism and complex special needs, I enjoy working with children who have a range of speech, language and communication difficulties.

Whilst it is important to use a range of evidence-based approaches to deliver individualised therapy programmes I want my approach to working with children and teenagers to be creative, motivating and fun.
