Siberian cats are known for their beautiful coats and incredible variety of colors and patterns. Whether you’re researching Siberian kitten colors, trying to identify your cat’s coat color, or searching for a specific look, this guide will help you explore the many color variations found in the Siberian breed.
Siberian cats can be found in nearly every color and pattern, including brown tabby, silver tabby, orange, cream, golden, smoke, tortoiseshell, colorpoint, solid, and bimetallic varieties. Some colors are more common, while others are considered rare and highly sought after.
At Lil Star Siberians, we are especially passionate about silver, golden, sunshine, colorpoint, and bimetallic Siberian cats. This page showcases many of the coat colors and patterns found within our program and provides examples to help you better understand the unique characteristics of each one.
While coat color can certainly influence a kitten’s appearance, it’s important to remember that temperament, health, and personality are what truly make a Siberian cat an exceptional companion. Every kitten is unique, and no two Siberians are exactly alike.

Colorpoint Siberian cats are one of the most recognizable and beloved color varieties within the breed. They feature a lighter body color with darker coloring on the face, ears, legs, and tail, known as “points.” This unique pattern is caused by a temperature-sensitive gene that allows darker pigment to develop in the cooler areas of the body.
Colorpoint Siberians are born with beautiful blue eyes, which remain blue throughout their lives. Kittens are often born very light in color and gradually develop darker points as they grow. Common colorpoint varieties include seal point, blue point, flame point, cream point, tortie point, and lynx point.
At Lil Star Siberians, several of our cats showcase the beauty of the colorpoint pattern. Teddy, our handsome flame point male, is known for his striking blue eyes and warm cream and red coloring. Biggie, a blue lynx point, displays beautiful tabby markings within his points, giving him a unique and distinguished appearance. Sache is a gorgeous blue point female with soft, elegant coloring, while Mochi is a stunning blue tortie point, combining the colorpoint pattern with beautiful patches of cream throughout her coat.
Often referred to as Neva Masquerade Siberians, colorpoint Siberians combine the affectionate, intelligent, and playful temperament of the Siberian breed with a truly eye catching appearance. Their striking blue eyes and elegant contrast coloring continue to make them one of the most sought-after Siberian cat colors.
Brown tabby is one of the most traditional and recognizable colors found in Siberian cats. These cats feature rich brown, black, and warm golden tones arranged in beautiful tabby patterns, including classic, mackerel, spotted, or ticked markings. Their coats often display distinctive facial markings, leg barring, and the iconic “M” shape on the forehead that is characteristic of tabby cats.
Brown tabby Siberians are especially admired for their wild, natural appearance, which closely resembles the look of their forest dwelling ancestors. Their luxurious triple coats and striking patterns create a stunning combination of beauty and elegance.
As with all Siberian cats, coat color does not determine personality. Brown tabby Siberians are known for the same affectionate, intelligent, playful, and family oriented temperament that makes the breed so beloved around the world. Their timeless coloring and classic Siberian appearance continue to make them one of the most popular choices among Siberian cat enthusiasts.
Golden Siberian cats are among the rarest and most sought after color varieties within the breed. Their coats feature warm golden, apricot, honey, and peach tones that create a radiant, sun kissed appearance unlike any other Siberian color. The golden gene reduces cool tones in the coat, allowing rich golden hues to shine through and giving these cats their signature glow.
Golden Siberians can appear in a variety of patterns, including tabby, tortoiseshell, and shaded coats. Some display bright, warm golden coloring throughout their coat, while others have softer golden tones paired with blue, cream, or darker markings. Their coloring often becomes richer and more vibrant as they mature.
Our golden lines are represented by Ember, a beautiful gold torbie. Her daughter, Nala, is a stunning blue gold Siberian, showcasing the softer side of the golden gene with her unique blend of blue-gray and golden coloring. Both Ember and Nala are wonderful examples of the beauty and diversity found within golden Siberian cats.
In addition to their striking appearance, golden Siberians share the same affectionate, intelligent, and family oriented temperament that makes the Siberian breed so beloved. Their rarity, combined with their warm glowing coats, has made golden Siberian cats increasingly popular among Siberian cat enthusiasts around the world.

Silver Siberian cats are known for their stunning contrast, bright coats, and eye catching appearance. The silver gene lightens the base of each hair, creating a beautiful silvery white undercoat that gives these cats their signature shimmer. Depending on the color and pattern, silver Siberians can range from bold black silver tabbies with dramatic markings to softer blue silver cats with a more subtle, elegant look.
There are many beautiful silver variations within the Siberian breed. Black silver tabbies feature dark markings against a bright silver background, while blue silver tabbies display softer blue-gray markings. Silver tortoiseshell cats combine silver with patches of red or cream, creating a unique and colorful coat pattern. Blue cream silver torties are especially admired for their delicate blend of silver, blue-gray, and cream tones.
Much of our silver line traces back to Rosie, our retired bimetallic queen. Rosie has produced a wonderful variety of silver-coated kittens over the years and has played an important role in our program. Her daughter, Star, is a beautiful black silver tabby who carries on her mother’s legacy with her striking silver coat and expressive green eyes. We also kept Poppy from Rosie’s final litter, a gorgeous blue cream silver tortie whose coat showcases the incredible beauty and variety that can be found in silver Siberians.
Silver Siberian cats are treasured not only for their breathtaking appearance but also for their affectionate, intelligent, and playful personalities. Their shimmering coats often become even more dramatic as they mature, making them one of the most sought-after color groups within the Siberian breed.

Tortoiseshell Siberian cats, often called “torties,” are loved for their one of a kind coats, featuring a beautiful blend of black, blue, red, cream, or gold. No two torties are ever exactly alike, making each cat truly unique. Their colorful patchwork coats often become even more vibrant as they mature, creating a stunning combination of rich colors and patterns.
We have a special place in our hearts for torties. Honey, one of our beautiful queens, is a gorgeous tortie whose striking coat and wonderful temperament have made her a favorite in our program. We were thrilled to keep her daughter, Kepri, who inherited her mother’s beautiful tortie coloring. Pending her health and genetic testing, Kepri will become our newest queen and continue Honey’s incredible line for future generations.
Our stud, Teddy, has also produced an incredible variety of tortoiseshell kittens over the years. His daughters include Callie, a classic tortie with white; Poppy, a beautiful blue cream silver tortie; Dahlia, a black silver tortie; Lily, a blue silver tortie; and Kepri, who carries on Honey’s stunning tortie coloring. It’s been so much fun watching the different tortie variations Teddy has produced, each with its own unique combination of colors and patterns.
We adore the incredible variety and vibrant colors found in tortoiseshell Siberian cats. Combined with the Siberian breed’s affectionate, intelligent, and playful personality, torties are truly some of the most eye catching and beloved cats in our program.
Bimetallic Siberian cats are among the rarest and most breathtaking color varieties in the breed. As the name suggests, bimetallic cats display a stunning combination of both silver and golden tones within the same coat. This unique blend creates incredible depth, warmth, and contrast, giving the coat a radiant, multi-dimensional appearance that changes beautifully in different lighting and as the cat matures.
Rosie was our very first bimetallic queen and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Her extraordinary coat, beautiful green eyes, and wonderful temperament made her a truly remarkable cat and laid the foundation for many of the silver lines in our program.
As our breeding program has grown, we’ve intentionally kept more cats that carry both silver and golden genetics. With our expanding group of silver and gold carrying kings and queens, we’re excited about the possibility of producing more bimetallic Siberian kittens in the future. While bimetallic cats are still quite rare, we look forward to continuing to preserve and develop this incredible color in the years ahead.
