New York Poster
Background: I wanted to mimic a poster that you would buy with a photo that is more personal. I loved the art history tool and wanted to work with it again so I used a photo from my trip to New York!
Contrast: I wanted to create an abstract photo so I used contrasting colors in the blocks that match that of the mural behind it.
Alignment: I felt that keeping the text left or right aligned would help keep the focal point on the faces. I put it left aligned to fit into the color block for more uniformity.
Repetition: Repetition in the unique shaped color blocks.
Proximity: With the layered color blocks in front, I was able to create depth in the faces but layering the blocks and blurring the background. I kept the color blocks about equal width apart to create less chaos since the colors stand out.
